Effective Consultation Synopsis:
Peter Block (Author – Flawless Consulting) says that anyone who provides advice to someone else but has no direct line authority over that person is in the position of a consultant whether we call ourselves that or not. That describes the position many of us who work on projects find ourselves in. We have expertise in a certain area, and we’ve been hired by companies to share that expertise. Many times though, simply providing our expertise doesn’t guarantee others will use it. This session will explore the challenges consultants face, critical skills the best consultants possess and provide a framework, consultants (both internal and external) can leverage to increase the chances your expertise will be used.
This meeting is worth one PDU (Professional Development Unit).
Please forward to others as needed. This meeting is open to members and non-members.

We are always looking for speakers, volunteers to help the chapter and ways to help our community. See our Volunteer Opportunities page http://nwapmi.org/content.php?page=Volunteer_Opportunities. We want to call out one of our volunteer opportunities - the need to help CARE Community Center (CARECC). The NWA PMI chapter has taken on this organization to help round up volunteers to help them year round. If you are interested - click this link http://nwapmi.org/Volunteer_Care_Community_Center.
